We are a team of professional meeting planners dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to our clients.  Through our years of experience, we have developed industry contacts and business relationships with well-respected industry partners.  This enables us to locate the best services and vendors for your event.  At Griffin Conference Group, our staff are experienced meeting professionals who can save you time and money.

Our Staff

Shelley E. Griffin, CMM is the founder and president of Griffin Conference Group. She is a well-respected industry leader with over twenty years of experience. In 2009 she was one of 42 to earn Global Certification in Meeting Manager (CMM) which is the most prestigious designation in the meetings and event industry.

Prior to establishing GCG, Shelley served as the Conference Manger for the Archaeological Institute of America. She also taught Negotiating Techniques for Meeting Professionals in the Meeting Management Certificate Program at Bentley College.

Shelley led in the establishment of the New England Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and served as its first president.  She is an active member of PCMA and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).   She also is a member of the program committee of the New England Society of Association Executives (NESAE).  Shelley earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

Lauren Lombardi, Project Manager, brings over 10 years of experience which includes managing numerous industry trade shows and conference groups. In addition, she has 5 years of print production experience, both with electronic layout and working with print vendors.

Ellen Sullivan, Project Manager, began her professional career in retail management.  Following that, Ellen transitioned to event planning and has over 13 years of experience, primarily with fundraising campaigns.  Ellen has a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University.
